The route for the Paris 2024 Olympic marathon has been confirmed pays tribute to a key moment from the French Revolution: the Women’s March on Versailles, on 5 October 1789. Iconic but also demanding, the marathon route will pass through nine Île-de-France districts, taking in some of the Paris region’s most well-known monuments, as well as its iconic parks and forests.
